Design -Communications Systems for Military Aircraft

At onhunters, we are looking for a Design - Communications Systems Specialist for Military Aircraft for a major multinational company in Madrid.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design digital communication systems using platforms including software defined radios (SDR) and FPGAs (RFSoCs).
• Functional modeling of DSP algorithms and their implementation in RTL (VHDL).
• Working in a laboratory environment with RF measurement equipment (RF Analyzer, Oscilloscope).

Minimum Requirements:

-Education: Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

-Languages and Software:

• VHDL
• Xilinx Toolchain: Vivado, Vitis (SDK)
• MATLAB/Simulink
• C

-Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C and/or Python for DSP algorithm development, modeling and simulation.

-In-depth understanding of receiver synchronization algorithms (such as Symbol Synchronization, Phase correction, AGC, etc.).

-Experience developing test benches for HDL modules and Simulate them with ModelSim or Vivado Simulator.

-Experience with channel encoding and decoding algorithms.

-Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Desirable:

-Knowledge in DO-254 and certification procedures.

-Experience with:

• Real-time SW implementation of DSP algorithms (C/C++).
• Implementing DSP algorithms on FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog).
• Software Defined Radio platforms at prototype level (Hack-RF, Blade-rf, Adalm-pluto, Lime-sdr, rtl-sdr, etc...).
• Analog Devices RFICs (such as the AD936x family).
